I think that Christmas is an especially beautiful time of the year. I really love being a Christmas wedding photographer and love to capture Christmas weddings – there is always such a sense of expectation and excitement in the air beyond the joy of the wedding day itself. The Christmas lights make for gorgeous backgrounds, the colours of gold, red and green and the smell of mulled wine! I love mulled wine!!
Christmas wedding photography makes me happy and so I thought I would share this incredible Christmas Winter Wedding that I captured in Scotland which was recently featured in Tatler’s Magazine Best of British Edition.
Rory and Lara were looking for a creative wedding photographer to capture their truly unique wedding in Sorn, Scotland at their family castle. Sorn, is a small, beautiful and quite village a few miles out from Glasgow in the stunning Scottish countryside.
This amazing couple had come across Tarquin & Pia’s wedding which had been featured on Rock My Wedding last year and loved the style of their wedding and their wedding photography. After an initial FaceTime call I knew that this was going to be something special and it made it all the more fun being able travel with a filmmaker friend Ben Foster too.
It was an honour to be Rory and Lara’s Christmas wedding photographer and this is definitely up there with one of my favourite weddings ever – creative, cool and cosy. I’m looking forward to capturing more amazing love stories in 2017 across the UK and Europe. But for now here’s a collection of the images from their amazing wedding day. Scroll through and enjoy!
